Campbell, 97, of Leavenworth died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. John Hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in St. Paul to Harry and Rose (Sampica) Treiber. On May 27, 1961, Gertrude married Edward C. Campbell. He died May 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Grace, Sister Rose Catherine and Cecilia; and two brothers, Raymond and Albert. Gertrude is survived by a sister, Berniece LaForge of Parsons; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served on the Altar Society. She also served as a papal volunteer in Latin America.  Visitation beginning with the rosary will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Leavenworth. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leavenworth. R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, Leavenworth, is in charge of arrangements.
